Selling Your Home

When Selling Your Home

Little things make a big difference and first impressions really are everything when a potential buyer comes to your home. Buying a home is an emotional decision. Anything you can do to provide a potential buyer with the confidence that they are investing their money wisely is a smart move.

  • Fix anything that you know is wrong with the house. Looks for those items you may have become used to over time like sticking doors and leaking faucets.

  • Pressure wash and treat your deck

  • Paint shutters and trim if needed

  • Paint or replace the front door

  • Clean out and organize the basement, attic, garage, and closets. Cluttered spaces look small. Rent a storage shed if necessary.

  • Add a fresh coat of paint to bathroom and kitchen walls. Simply upgrading faucets, light fixtures, and cabinet hardware can make a tremendous difference.

  • Paint any rooms that have scuffed walls or extreme colors.

  • Paint interior doors and trim that have taken a beating over time.

  • Replace old kitchen and bathroom countertops. It is a great way to immediately update the entire room.

  • Pay for a home inspection of your own house before you place it on the market. Use it as a to-do list to get your home in shape.

Remember, you can better defend your asking price if there is nothing wrong with your house.

Should you need help with any of the above, please give us a call. We are specialists in taking care of your to-do list.
